Music Ministry
My dear friends, we are about to launch into another year. I don’t know about you, but to me the days and years are going by so fast, I can hardly keep up with them; and like someone once said: “the hurrier I go, the behider I get!” But I do want to slow down for a minute to express my joy and blessing that is mine as interim Worship Pastor of this precious group of our forever family. Thank you all for allowing me to be exactly where I believe God wants me to be at this present time. The sweet fellowship and spirit of this church body makes me excited to be alive and encourages me daily in the faith. On the 8 th of December, we witnessed a special blessing for all of us as Ramona and Lou lifted us to heaven with the special Christmas concert. I have served many churches as Minister of Music and Music Evangelist, and have worked with countless fine instrumentalists, but these precious ladies rank at the top of some of the best I have ever experienced. I hope all of our people recognize how God has blessed Bethesda Baptist Church and thank Him, and them often for our “special blessings.”
We are planning some great music for our choir this year and I want to extend an invitation to you, who would make the sacrifice to serve the Lord in our church choir, to join us on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 for rehearsal, and then on Sunday mornings. We need to have all here for the rehearsals so that we can give God, as Oswald Chambers so aptly put it many years ago, “my utmost for His Highest” – our best for His glory.
Because He lives,
Chuck (aka Mr. Purple)
